I don't think I've ever seen Kobe's genuine smile until they won the gold medal. Everyone seemed very happy. I actually cheered for the Spanish team though since it's always more fun to cheer for the underdogs.Overall, the Olympics was a huge time drainer in the past 2 weeks. NBC did a very good job of captivating me into watching all of these things I would normally not watch. I felt so much more emotion when they showed the losers than the winners since I can sympathize with them. They gave it their all but they still didn't win. You can see it in their faces on how hard they tried up to that point but still came up short. It's okay, I still think everyone did their best and they all get kudos from me for being brave enough to compete in the first place.
